I have a situation where a single surgery session involved two primary surgeons of the same specialty but different practices. The first surgeon did a laparoscopic hepatectomy and wedge resection. The second surgeon started to do a laparoscopic colectomy with a splenic takedown but had to convert it to an open procedure. So how would you code this for the second surgeon?
