When performing an anterior lumbar fusion, we use a vascular general surgeon to open the patient, move the organs and expose the level then the orthopaedic surgeon to removethe disc material, prepare the space then carry out the fusion, each filing 22558 with -62. Since the vascular surgeon must clear each level, should -62 be attached to the22585 for each additional level?

I wouldn't

You could, but the RVUs for the add-on are quite low. I would just code the 22558-62 for the general surgeon.

Hope that helps.
