Hello. I would be very appreciative for information about the COC examination. Is the COC exam difficult?

The COC exam prepares you for coding and billing of outpatient facility services. All of the AAPC certification examinations are difficult, in fact I'd say that they are some of the most difficult tests I have ever taken in my entire career. The key to a passing grade is that you need to prepare in advance. Make sure you're very knowledgable about Anatomy, Physiology and terminology. If you have absolutely no experience in this area, then you'll be better off taking the PMCC course (available on the AAPC website). Many colleges provide coding courses, just make sure you research carefully as to what it will cost you and whether or not you'll gain the skills you need.

Get yourself the COC study guide and practice exams. I had been coding about 15 years before I sat for the COC, and I took a 1-day bootcamp and passed easily.
