Wiki Code 27599

This is part of the op note- the dr. wants to use. 27509. And we are thinking it should be 27599:

Once I felt the trocar was in the correct position just above this area as seen in both the AP view and later view, I then injected 0.5 CC of calcium phosphate. I then inserted the trocar and allowed it to sit for 8 min. Once this was done, the trocar was removed. xrays pictures were taken to confirm placement of calcium phosphate. The arthroscope was then inserted back into the knee to confirm that there is no extravasation of the calcium into the joint which the arthroscope was removed from the knee joint.

Any help on this coding would be appreciated. Thanks

Agreed, CPT Assistant from October 2018 states to use 27599. I would also check the payer policy for their guidance and if it is a covered service.
