We have a patient that is on coumadin and has a home protime machine and the results are sent to our office for review and management by the physician. I am told there is a billable code for that service....anyone know?
 
sure do!! It's G0250. The company will send your physician a report showing the dates the pt tested at home. (once per week) You DOS you will bill out G0250 is for every 4th test read. Make sure you use a payable dx code as well. There is a list on the CMS website. It reimburses around $15.00...
