We are having trouble with our claims paying in the order we bill them. For example we will code 31254-50, 30520-51, 30140-50-51, 31256-50-51. We may get paid with the 30140-50-51 first or maybe the 30520-51 first. Can the insurance company change the order of your codes? We are using a51 to show the multiple procedures that follow the primary.

I always bill my codes in order of RVU value. On the codes you listed I show their RVU order would be:

30520
30140
31254
31256
