Hi I am in need of some help. I have a physician that is not a cardiologist and is wanting to bill the 93922 extremity code. I am under the impression that only someone trained to read this test is qualified to bill. Thank you for any help
 
Yes, some of the Medicare contractors do require certifications in order to be eligible to perform and be reimbursed for these vascular studies. If that's the case, it should state what the requirements are in your local Medicare contractor's LCD on their web site or on the CMS web site.
