Patient comes in for strep throat. The pt gets Rocephin medications from the pharmacy & is administered in the office.. Can i code 96372 also along with the E & M code

yes you will need a 25 modifier on the office visit. However since the patient did get the meds from the pharm, did this occur previous to the encounter or was there a visit then the patient picked up meds and then the injection? If the meds were picked up prior to the patient comming to the office then I would have to say no to the office visit and bill the injection only.
