Good afternoon,

following question: HCPCS H0004, Behavioral health counseling and therapy, per 15 mins. If I am seeing a non-medicaid patient, am I billing the equivalent (90832-90838) instead. Are there any diagnosis requirements to bill 90832-90838 instead?
 
I am not as familiar with Medicaid as it has been a long time since I billed for their services.
I believe the diagnosis situations are the same though. You are not allowed to use Dementia, bi-polar and such as a primary. Anxiety, depression etc are always covered. I hope this helps!
