We have always used 99024 during a global period. I am now being told to use this for the first post-op visit and then use either an office visit or hospital visit for all the other post op vistis and use a fee of 0. Does anyone know which is correct?
 
I've herd of doing this but...

it was for a company to track levels and frequencies of E&M services, but we held those charges to our system and submitted 99024 to our carriers. This was due to the fact certain contracts we had wanted to see something in claim form that we were in fact providing post-op care.
You may need to check CMS guidelines and w/ your local carriers.
