Help!! Coding a mechanical traction device

I am seeking advise on a mechanical traction device sold to a chiropractic patient. The Letter of Medical Necessity that comes with the device give suggested billing code as 97012 for office use.
The provider sold this device to the patient, but prior to departure of the office, he instructed the patient for 15 minutes on how to use the device correctly.
Is this a billable service under the 97012 for 1 unit since he spent 15 minutes educating the patient on how to use this device (hands on)?
