I am having trouble with coding an EEG when the provider does not state if the patient is awake, asleep, or drowsy, only that they are unresponsive and the test is longer that 41 minutes. Does anyone have any suggestions? Provider is reluctant to give a clinical diagnosis of Coma as the patient may or may not be in a coma.
