Hi there, I am new to coding and working an Ancillary queue only doing ICD-10 coding. I have gotten mixed opinions on whether I can code a Mammogram Screening with a Z12.31 without receiving the mammogram results. Do I have to wait for the results and code supporting findings, or do I just code the screening code and send it? Sorry if this is a silly question, very new to the field and confused because co-workers are telling me two different things. Thanks in advance!
