I need help coding for and outpatient stay at a behavioral helath center. It was denied from the insurance, since the facility has billed it as outpatient, and the physician has been billing it as inpatient such as 99223 - initial hosp care, 99232 subsequent, and 99239 hospital discharge, with a place of service 21. Should the place of service be 52 or 22?
