Hello. Does anyone have any guidelines on how to bill for discharge planning? Can we bill for a registered nurse that will be doing all of the discharge planning? Any help is much appreciated. This is new to me. Thank you!
 
No. Normally these RNs are employees of the hospitals and do not generate professional services. Their efforts are paid under the MS-DRG or other reimbursement mechanism for the stay.
