I work for an organization that has a centralized billing office. I am an office manager for a 4 provider primary care group which includes 2 MD's and 2 NP's. Ordering NP's EKG's are read by the MD's same day. The question is how this can be billed to capture the read with out creating another encounter?

Hi...we have the same issue, however, we have somebody in our office go through the office charges everyday and correct the EKGs to the doctor who read them. We are a cardiology office, so we have quite a few, but this works for us. Sandy
