i just started coding for orthopaedics and am struggling with finding the correct codes for insufficiencies ie: posterior tibial insuff and others, i was told to code them as instability is this correct. any info is appreciated as i would like for our clients to have a correct diagnosis in their medical record.
 
Insufficiences can be difficult. The code for posterior tibial insufficency is 726.72, you need to look up tendinitis/tenosynovitis. The best way to find cross references in Code X program or any other coding program or use the internet.
