Hi all I have a question.
My provider documented the below - (however I cannot find anything from the documentation regarding a dx that I can use. V89.0XXA is what the provider documented however my system gives me an error saying that it MAY result in rejection but when I go to the guidelines codes from Chapter 20 should never be sequenced as primary. I have queried the provider but he has not answered me so I decided to post here to see if anyone has any insight on what can be done. I am thinking that this will be a nonbillable charge.
Patient was parked in his apartment garage. He left his spot in the garage and made a left turn to exit. He could not brake. He hit a boiler room door and a piece of cinder block hit his car. No injury. Car was totaled.
Review of Systems
Respiratory: Negative for chest tightness and shortness of breath.
Cardiovascular: Negative for chest pain and palpitations.
Gastrointestinal: Negative for abdominal pain.
Neurological: Negative for dizziness, seizures, syncope and headaches.
Psychiatric/Behavioral: Negative for confusion.
