Hello,

I have a question about coding for NST. I have been told by my providers that a NST will not always be reactive or non-reactive. Well when I started coding here for OB/GYN I was told that the only way we can code a NST is if the results are stated as reactive or non-reactive. Now I'm seeing some results stating " appropriate for gestational age"... So can I code for the NST when it says that? Some of my providers say that the results should only say reactive or non-reactive.
Also where can I find this information in our coding books or a website because I will need that to show my providers?

Thank you !
