Wiki Coding for original fracture when coming in for hardware removal

Please help me with this question. I have a patient who is coming in for hardware removal and the doctor says that is the diagnosis, should we also add the reason the hardware was placed, hence a fracture, into the diagnosis when the patient comes in for the removal as the fracture was the main reason for the placement in the first place.
 
Based on the information given, I would code V54.01 (aftercare, involving removal of internal fixation device). If the fracture has been treated, you wouldn't code for an acute fracture.
