I would like to know if anyone has had to code/bill for the services rendered by a nurse practitioner with a specialty in psychiatry? We have a provider with such a specialty and there is some discussion on how to bill for her services. Can she bill E/M and Behavioral Health codes at the same visit? If not, if the purpose of the visit is behavioral health and she writes a prescription, can she bill behavioral health codes or does that change the scope of the visit? Please help!!
