I have seen this asked before but there doesn't seem to be a great answer for it, or I feel I have not found what I am in search of!!! Is there a good (general) code for placement of a picc line for vascular acsess? I have responded to Docs and other billing staff that it needs the underlying cause for the need of acsess, but still they want a general code!!???!!!! did look at 459.9 Unspecified circulatory system disorder. but I am new in the coding profession and leery of try this code just in case medicare throws it back laughing saying NO WORKY!!!!
