I agree with the 35301. I would add the LT modifier to identify which side of the neck.

Using ultrasound to locate the exact area of the artery is included. Checking flow after the the endart is also included.
 
According to a seminar I went to through the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the only code you can use for a CEA is the 35301. No S & I codes are appropriate. Hope this helps.
 
Just so I can present this back to the dr - can you tell me where they get their documentation? I guess I didnt understand why you couldnt report it since it is not mentioned in the description of the procedure and 76998 is not bundled with 35301.
