I am looking for some direction here. Although the majority of these exams are self pay, I would still like to code them properly. The CT is done to verify the integrity of the jaw to hold the dental implant. Should it be coded as a V72.2 (dental exam), pre-op (V72.83) or something other than this? The radiologist normally does an interpretation, the clinical indication is usually dental implants.
