Is anyone familiar with coding both medical and Mental Health in the same office visit with regard to different payors. EX: Aetna (Medical) and Value Options (Mental Health). Codes were 99214 and 90636... Aetna paid the 99214 but denied the 90836 saying it was not covered... Value Options denied all... what is recommended? Can you split up the two codes and send to the different payors for one OV?
