Hello,
We have a patient followed in labor and delivery by one of our providers for 11 hours (includes high level admission 99223) and then was delivered by another medical practice. I believe the proper coding would be 99223, 99356 and 99357 X 18.
My question is - do I bill 99357 with quantity of 18 or do I list code 99357 18 times using modifier 59 on each line after the first.
