scenario: patient presents for pre-operative chest x-ray to rule out respiratory disease. patient is scheduled for a left inguinal hernia repair next week. history shows significant cad, hypertension and status post coronary artery bypass graft procedure 5 years ago. the results of the chest x-ray revealed no significant respiratory diesease but did show cardiomegaly.


i coded 429.3(cardiomegaly).
