Unlike diagnostic thoracoscopies, multiple surgical thoracoscopies are not bundled with each other. If two separate techniques are performed at different sites, both may be billed together with modifier -59

So if my physician performs a thoracoscopy with excision-plication of bullae (32655) and pleurodesis (32650) both of the left lung can I not bill both with a -59?

Does the "If two separate techniques are performed at different sites," mean it has to be right lung/left lung or am I covered since he had to treat the pleura and lung?

Please help!

Thanks so much
