Pt is a 93 yo w/ acute onset pelvic pain. Pt came in the office for emergency ultrasounds done by our u/s technician. After reviewing the u/s images, the technician feels it's necessary for Dr to see patient asap. Dr preforms pelvic check and discovers a 7.4cm R ovarianon cystic mass. Dr is concerned that her pain is due to adnexal torsion and thinks surgery is necessary. Dr sent pt to ER for evaluation and treatment.
This is the way i think it should be coded, but i'm not sure: 76856, 76830 (for U/S) and 99215-57 for Dr. evaluation and decision for surgery?
What other modifiers can I used?
