Wiki Coding removal if same surgeon placed external fixation

Greetings -
My surgeon removed an external fixation device from the distal radius. He initially placed the device just over a month prior.
Patient is back in the OR to have ORIF of ulnar styloid and removal of ex fix from radius.
Can we code for the removal if the same surgeon placed the device?

I appreciate any help - thank you
