I work in a SNF and there is a lot of pressure to code quickly AND accurately. We do not use CAC's or other encoders, it all manual; either book or google. I use a book but depending on how much documentation I have to go through it can take me 90+ minutes to code an admission. This is not conductive when you have 3+ admissions a day. Any suggestions to help speed things up while maintaining accuracy? We are supposed to do an admission (coding, order entry, ect) in 45 minutes, I don't see how it is feasible. Any hints would be appreciated.
