Am coding for a Cardiologist who practices from a hospital. He usually does TTE w/wo contrast for IP patients. I knew there are a list of Medicare proposed codes C8921 to C8930 for TTE with contrast.
But I get held in differentiating the usage of these C codes between physician component and hospital component billing. Having said that I bill for a cardiologist (Physician) under place of service 21 (Inpatient), Am I allowed to use these C codes with 26 modifier or bill 93306-26 for TTE with contrast. Looking forward for the expertise.
