colonoscopy help

Intent was a diagnostic colonoscopy - but a mass was discovered at 12 cm from the anal verge. The scope would not pass further than the mass, so mulitple biopsies were taken and the lower margin of the mass was tattooed. Would this qualify for a colonoscopy w/biopsy with a modifier? If so, which would be appropriate - 52 or 53?
