So...does anyone have any ideas on the appropiate CPT code for a colonoscopy done on a patient who has no colon? The patient's rectum is attached to her ileum.

45378, even with a reduced services modifier seems wrong since the patient doesn't have a splenic flexure.

45330 seems problematic too since the patient doesn't have a sigmoid. Right now I'm leaning towards 45330 with the reduced services modifier, but I have thought about this too much and have lost all perspective.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
