I hope someone can help me. My boss came to me and wanted to do a rundown on the payment difference between colonoscopies and colonoscopies done w/ anesthesia (very few). I told her we bill exactly the same and all drugs are included in the scope procedure. I told her that anesthesia bills for their portion seperately. Am I correct on this or since we are supplying the anesthesia drugs can we code them out? I would appreciate any insight in the matter.
