Hi All!

I am wondering if there are any additional codes that can be added to a colonoscopy that goes 30 cm into the ileum?

May be we can add modifier 22 for the increased service into the ileum, provided the medical necessity should have been documented. We do not have specific CPT to meet the colonoscopy with visualization of ileum for 30 cm. Hope this helps!
