Good morning,
We are coming across situations where on physician will see an inpatient in the am and document a good note. Another physician, same group, see's the patient in the evening, documents very little, adds a Admission cert and drops a charge for the initial. Can the two physician notes be combined for one level of service and billed under the admitting physician?
I have found information concerning this scenario with regards to the ED, but nothing for inpatient.
Any help or guidance is appreciated.
