Please help...Can a hopsital bill for a comparison knee x-ray that is performed in the radiology department?? Example: 73564 RT knee and 73560 LT knee.
 
Consider this from the payer perspective. What is the medical necessity for the comparison views? Presumably, this is a normal anatomical location--thus it seems unlikely to be found medically necessary.
