I am trying to figure this out. Can anyone tell me if a doctor does a procedure and e and m or if a doctor does a e&m and preventative do you have to bill for both if the documentation supports it? Even if you know that you will only get paid for one or the other. I am trying to find this in writting so any help I can get I would appreciate.
