My physician did a complicated repair post-auricular, is this considered ear or neck?

I go thru this all the time w/my docs, I have to research and look at their notes and read pathology, etc...; if the repair was actually done on the backside of the ear (auricular) then it's the ear; if it was done on the area directly behind the ear (aka mastoid area) it's the neck.

This type of situation to determine which code to use from their notes can be frustrating. Thanks for sharing this information. Gonna tuck it away into my file and pull it out for reference if and when necessary!
