Hello,
Anyone have any guidance on coding for old compression fractures? Do they even need coded? Doctor documented a plan of stretch/ moist heat. It doesn’t state whether it’s traumatic or pathological. I appreciate any help!

I always query. You have to know if it is trauma or path and if it’s path, you will use the bundled code in the index or a secondary code.
