Does anyone have official source guidance for coding when 2 IV Pushes are documented as administered concurrently? And,

How would you code the following scenario?

For example; patient has nausea/vomiting from gastroenteritis and physician orders IV Push Pepcid, and IV Push Zofran.
Patient only has 1 IV access site.
Documentation in the nurse record supports:
Pepcid IV Pushed at 11:00 - no stop time noted
Zofran IV Pushed also at 11:00 - no stop time noted

per CPT guidelines goes by heirarchy:
two meds same time 96374, 96375 for these code sets time doesn't make the code it is drugs IV Pushed

concurrent would only apply with infusion of another substance

96375 is “sequential” by CPT definition, so I am having a hard time understanding how it would be acceptable to use for an IV push of a different substance at the same time as 96374. Can you help clarify?

I would also use 96374 & 75 as previous response. But seems like you first need nursing clarification, stop times are needed on push's. its not enough to state drug "pushed" @ 11 with no stop. when the nurse fixes the documentation of time, this may provide clarity for you.
