My company i s saying that 90713 polio vaccince is a pediatric vaccine. Where does it say that is just for pediatrics? I don't see that information in my coding book.
Anyone have any thoughts on this.
 
90713 "identifies the vaccine product only. (See CPT Vaccines, Toxoids Guidelines). To report the administration of a vaccine/toxoid see 90460-90474. 90460 and 90461 are for sdministration for patients 18 years old or younger. Both administration code and product code need to be billed together.
