Can somebody shed a light clearly about billing saline? I understand that when saline is being mixed in with chemo/therapeutic drugs, this is considered a supply and is bundled in with the drugs so we cannot bill for saline separately and also when saline is being used as a primary bag. Does this only apply to MEDICARE or does it apply to ALL CARRIERS?

For our Peds Hem/Onc clinic we dont bill for saline, since we bill for the time of infusion it would bundle. I think this is across the board all insurances.
