We have conflicting information. ACS coding today says we cannot bill conscious sedation with the 36901-36909 codes but the AMA code book says yes we can. The BC/BS procedure code edit which is McKesson said it is inclusive. So the question is can we or can we not bill the conscious sedation with the Dialysis codes?
