Hello everyone,

Do you still continue to code the conscious sedation/ MAC codes 99152/99153) along with TEE ?

I was researching and found this 2022 update from CMS website.

Can anyone confirm if we can / cannot code MAC, if no other procedure but only the TEE is performed?

Also , can we code the findings as diagnosis for a TEE report ?
