My doctor is in charge of the inpatient rehab in the hospital. His patients are usually discharged from the hospital on the same day he admits them into the rehab clinic. Recently he has started doing consults on potential patients one to two days before he admits them into rehab. My question is can we bill for the consult if it is the day before his admission?
