I am trying to determine which codes Florida "non Medicare" insurance companies want Specialist' to use for their first visit to a patient during an inpatient hospital stay. Does anyone have feedback on this?

You would need to check with the commercial carriers, but most expect you to use the In-Patient Consultation codes.

this would depend on whether your provider was asked for an opinion. If so, the inpatient consult, if not - then why are they seeing the patient?
