What would the appropriate code be for Provider #2 (the non-admitting provider) who provided consultation during observation? HPI Detailed, Exam Detailed and MDM Moderate?
Do I use the 99218 or do I use sub. obsv. 99225? This is not the admitting provider and this patient has not been seen by Provider #2 in history. I am confused with CMS ref Pub. 100-4,12,30.6.8. Help!
