Help!! With the new medicare rules on no consults, if one of my docs does a consult in the hospital and then consults our EP doc next day, ( I bill 99222 for first consult), can I bill another consult and appeal with notes since it will get denied? I have also been told to bill a subsequent vs a consult for the EP. Feels wrong to do that. Anyone had this problem???? We are of course all under same Tax ID number.
